"Building Learners for Life!"
Info for Parents
Stop by the office to pick up a "volunteer application" and learn more about volunteering at school. A new application is required at the beginning of each school year. "The most important hour of your day may be the one you give away."
First Trimester Awards 2015-2016:
There is still time to register your child for our after school program, Think Together! Students in Think Together are provided with opportunities to play games, have a set time to get help with and complete homework, and explore their artistic talents. Ask the office for information on how you can be a part of the fun!!
No School Days:
Please Remember: Tuesdays are an early dismissal day.
Recuerdanse: Todo de los estudiantes salen un hora temprano en los martes.
Welcome, Good Hope Families!!
Remember, breakfast is from 7:30am to 8am. It is important that if your child is eating at school that they be here before 8 am. To ensure students are eating breakfast, we no longer have free play before school, but rather a structured activity like the walking club. This change comes about to ensure that within the hours of 8 am - 2:15 pm, your child is receiving as much instruction as possible. At 8am, instruction begins and the campus becomes a closed campus.
As always, we encourage you to be involved in your child's education by becoming a parent volunteer. Please come by the office to find out about the volunteer requirements or look up the information under our parent tab on Good Hope Elementary school's website.

Instructional Focus Areas
Computer Science: Introducing Our Students to Coding
Good Hope Students participated in The Hour of Code to introduce them to computer science and how to program video games. To learn more about this, there is a video at www.code.org under The Hour of Code to show students (and yourselves what this is and why it is important). From Bill Gates, to the creators of Facebook and Dropbox, these videos will motivate kids to learn how to code a video game/program. Throughout the school year, our students will have access to coding programs to learn how to build video games.
The City of Perris and Good Hope have partnered for the city's Live Well initiative. Mrs. Anderson's 3rd grade class, who won the complete sentences contest, participated in a Chopped Competiton where the class learned about healthy eating and sampled a tasty snack.
